It's amusing to try unique foods because it will be new to your basket. It's even more fun realizing that their tastes are so well-attached to the culture they originated from. That's why I was so eager to drop by Tagz Deli Express. I've heard that they serve best-tasting SEA Food or South East Asian Cuisine food in Ormoc City.I visited the food spot and Im not disappointed at all. The owner and staff are accommodating and kind enough to let me try their food. Yey!

They served Kaya Toast first . This is a famous Singaporean and Malaysian snack. The first thing welcomed me after a bite was its sweet coconut jam (Kaya) with butter. It's superb with the toasted bread. They also have this separate sauce where you dip it in. The sauce was made from soft boiled egg, soy sauce, and pepper. Its saltiness countered the sweetness that there is in the toast.

I tried their Lamaw after. It is rice with pork cracklings, pork siomai, and egg toppings in a bowl. The duet of rice and pork cracklings was appetizing especially when you added it with the siomai. The Tagz Siomai is now in my list of favorites besides Siomai sa Tisa. It is stuffed with pork meat and vegetable with less flour (I don't even feel it). It's great with their spicy paste and sweet sauce.

Their Milk Teas taste like those expensive milk teas in commercial cafes. But, they don't have black pearls or coffee jelly. The taste of the tea is not overlapping the milk and the muscovado which gives a molasses taste to it. Their combo was great and the price of it is even greater. You can enjoy a big cup of it for only P35. Okinawa was my favorite. They also offer Teh Tarik, Cha Yen (Thai), Matcha and Melon. All are below P40.

Nasi Goreng was good. It is an Indonesian dish basically just means Fried Rice. But, it is stuffed with a lot of seasonings and flavorful sauce compared to our normal fried rice. Instead of meat, they mixed it with the famous Pinoy Tuyo (Dried Fish) like Bawdnon, Pusit among others. This is my first time eating an Indonesian dish so I'm not familiar with its flavor profile but they say they are close with Thai food. Nevertheless, I can taste the patent combination of shallot, fish sauce, sweet sauce (btw, this is always added in most Indonesian Dish) onion, and other vegetables. I'm not sure tho if all of those I've mentioned was there but, I tasted it. It's tricky and fun eating this one because of its unique and tangy taste. Even the cabbage absorbed not only the vegetable oil but also its flavor. Eating it was like a wedding ceremony where a lot of emotions are present. Overall, it's delish, perfect for breakfast and lunch.

The place is small but homey. They allow take outs so it's G! At night, you may stay by their area because they will set up a few tables and chairs along the road. Just like a street food eating experience.

Aside from those that I tasted, they also serve Milo Dino- P40, Ice Cleylont- P40 and Iced Coffee like Kopi Peng - P35, Kopi Ais - P40 and Kopi C - P45. You may also enjoy their Rice meals: Hainan Chicken - P80, Chicken Satay- 65, Lamaw- P65 and Moo Ping (Pork BBQ) - P70. Aside from Nasi Goreng -P45, they also serve Egg Fried Rice -P35 and Meaty Chao Fan- P65. You may also enjoy their Noodle soup - P35 and P65 and Sandwiches like Grilled Cheese and Kaya toast for all below P50.
