ALL YOUR FAVORITES IN ONE PLACE! Yes, you read it right. The Ogmokaon Food Bazaar is back in Ormoc City Quadrangle offering much more interesting food and drinks. Ogmokaon is a portmanteau of "Ogmok" - old name of Ormoc in the past centuries - and "Kaon" - it means to eat. This is the second time Circa is holding this bazaar. Last December, they held the first one in the same location. It is in line with the holiday activities of Ormoc City.
The main focus of starting this event is to help the microenterprise or small businesses to earn and be known around the region or to all the people who want to enjoy Ormoc's best-tasting delicacies especially in the midst of the emergence of bigtime enterprises (malls).
This year, many restos and small-time food business are participating. Most of them offers a wide variety of of their specialties. Others offer booze. This place is perfect to chill with your friends and families over the night of your weekends. The participating diners are Mamerta's, Roppy's, Botong's, Snacker's, La Mama's, Tidbits. Hungryanz Fruits and Juice, Pinoy Street Foods, Bebidas, Tipsy, Jk Bites boneless lechon and Poldang's.
This month's Ogmokaon is pretty much better than last year's since they have improved their securities and services. They are also ensuring to maintain its cleanliness. To make the event enthralling, they will be holding the Battle of the bands every Saturday. They are also preparing for their event this February 16, Ormoc BidaBest - talent contest for all of the Ormocanons.
I am glad that the Circa Production came up with this initiative. I know that organizing events like these are quite risky because there is less possibility that they will gain prodigious profit from it. Let's just hope for the best and support our local events. I have tried the food they offer and I highly recommend you try it too.
